Same chair · same iPhone
The same chair, captured with the same iPhone in the same light.
Shopify’s built-in viewerFlat textures, simplified shapes.
Pivot viewerPhotorealistic detail shoppers trust.
Both come from the same iPhone capture. Shopify’s viewer needs it turned into a mesh, a simplified shell with the colours painted on top. Pivot renders the capture itself, so the fabric, the light and the shadows are the ones your camera saw.
Why Pivot
3D used to mean studios and specialists. Pivot replaces all of it with the iPhone already in your pocket.
If you can take a photo, you can make a 3D view.
No turntable, lightbox or rig. Just your iPhone.
Add the block once. Every new scan publishes itself.
Reviews, upsells and popups act after the buyer has decided. 3D works on the doubt before it.
How it works
One scan takes a few minutes of your time. Everything else runs on its own. Keep scrolling.
Open the Pivot app and walk around the product. Blurry shots are rejected on the fly, and quality is checked before upload.
Reconstruction and cleanup run in the cloud. The 3D view publishes itself, even inside your media gallery.
Auto-rotation, camera angle, background, zoom limits. Or keep the defaults: they are chosen for you.
Every product is different. You pick the look before you capture, and the guided capture is the same either way.
Your product in its setting, free to explore. Show the chair in the living room so buyers picture it at home.
Your product on a clean background, ready for your product gallery. Best for fashion, accessories and crafts.
Made for Shopify
One block in the theme editor. No code, no scripts injected. Hydrogen supported.
A few megabytes, lazy-loaded in an isolated frame. Core Web Vitals untouched.
You own your captures. Raw files are deleted after processing. No lock-in.
Reviews polish the sale. Upsells grow the cart. Popups recycle the visitors who were leaving. Useful, all of them. But none of them create the decision.

One scan = one product capture. Relaunching a reconstruction uses one scan. Unused scans don't roll over. Prices shown before tax; billed through Shopify at launch.
A Shopify store and an iPhone (iOS 16.6 or later). That's it: install the Pivot app on your store, connect your iPhone in two taps, and scan your first product.
The guided capture takes a few minutes of your time. Processing then runs automatically in the cloud, and the finished 3D view publishes itself to your product page as soon as it's ready.
No. You add the Pivot block once in Shopify's theme editor, like any other section. It works with every Shopify theme, injects no scripts into your storefront and is designed to have no impact on your page speed.
Right on your product page. The interactive viewer appears in the Pivot block or in the product's media gallery, alongside your photos: customers rotate, zoom and explore the object, in the browser, on desktop and mobile.
It almost can't: the app rejects blurry shots as you scan and grades the capture before anything is uploaded, so you only send captures that will reconstruct well. If you ever want to adjust the result, the built-in eraser and crop tools take seconds, and you can relaunch a reconstruction within 10 days of capture (a relaunch uses one scan).
No: the 3D view runs right in the browser on your product page, on desktop and mobile. They can drag to rotate, zoom, and explore the product from every angle.
Yes. The 3D viewer lives at a simple URL, so it embeds from any stack: one iframe or a small React component in Hydrogen, plus a public API to fetch the active scan for each product. The theme block is just the no-code path for standard themes. Want help wiring it into a custom storefront? Get in touch: we'll set it up with you.
